Ryan Francois & Jenia Salakhutdinova
Ryan Francois is a 2 time winner of the U.S. Open and American Swing Dance Championships and is the foremost authority in the US & UK on all dances connected and related to the Jazz & Swing era - including, The Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Jive, Charleston, Tap, Be Bop and Blues.
Ryan is popularly known for his choreography on STRICTLY COME DANCING especially the Charleston routine that earned Chris Hollins & Ola Jordan - AKA “Team COLA” - Five 10’s and the win in the Strictly finals.

Since Evgenia discovered Lindy Hop in 2002 and has developed her dancing skills to a professional standard in Boogie Woogie, Charleston, Authentic jazz, West Coast Swing and Salsa and of course The Lindyhop. Evgenia started to compete internationally as part of the Finnish National Team in 2014. At the time of her career as a competitor she became Finnish champion in boogie woogie, a finalist in several Boogie Woogie World Masters and Nordic Championship, she was as high as 4th in Boogie Woogie World ranking list as well as she was Finnish champion in Lindy Hop for 3 years in a row and silver medalist of Nordic Championship in Lindy Hop.
Hyunjung Choi & Anders Silhberg
Anders Sihlberg is a well experienced swing-dancer, teacher and showman. As a child he followed his mother to swing dance classes and naturally learned the steps from watching and eventually joining. His talent was soon noticed by the Harlem Hot Shots and he started to practice with the group which he soon joined and performed with. Anders has always studied old dance clips and he’s deeply influenced by the clips starring Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers.
Since 2006, Hyunjung has been teaching Lindy Hop classes adding to the growth of the Korean swing dance scene, as well as competing internationally to acquire various titles. Her name became known to others by winning the 1st place in “Hellzapoppin Contest, Frankie 100”
She continues to show her unique character in workshops and events all around the world. She is a passionate dancer who strives to better express herself, and her delightful dancing gives positive energy to everyone who watches her dance.
Jessica Lennartsson & Rikard Ekstrand
Jessica Lennartsson is a multi-talented dancer specialising in swing-related dance styles. Like most other successful dancers from Sweden she started at very young age. Her career is and has been most comprehensive and includes several major titles. She is the only dancer in Sweden to receive Svenska Sportspegelpriset (Swedish Sport News Award) in recognition for her extra ordinary level of dancing and international success. Jessica is internationally well-known and is frequently seen around the world teaching and performing. She is also a member of the Harlem Hot Shots and has been touring in Sweden and internationally with them.
Rikard Ekstrand was first inspired to start dancing at the early age of seven. Today it's his life and his way of living, based in Stockholm, Sweden. His focus in Lindy Hop dancing and teaching lies in the art of rhythm, music and partnering. Rikard is also a well known street dancer in Sweden. He sees Lindy Hop as an artform and a cultural legacy. Recreation of old techniques and styles is what makes Rikard go wild. He calls himself a student more than a dancer. "In the school of dance and rhythm you will never be fully skilled". In 2006 Rikard joined the Harlem Hot Shots performance troupe. Rikard also has a passion for competing, in which he has a long list of titles in both Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie.
Trisha Sewell
Trisha will be teaching solo classes during the main weekend.
Trisha hails from Hertfordshire, UK, and has been teaching since 1997 and on the international scene since 2003. For 10 years she contributed to establishing the first European swing dance brand and the biggest of its time. She is now thrilled to manage her own company SavoyHop.com creatively directed by her personal vision. Trisha has built up a reputation for being one of the most influential teachers within the European Swing Scene.
She has spearheaded the revival of Authentic Jazz within the UK, working and training with some of the freshest dancers and teachers around. It’s been said that her teaching style is innovative, dynamic and inspiring. Always engaging and fun, Trisha loves to make people laugh and feel relaxed in her classes. At the end of her classes students are filled with energy and excitement.
She has spearheaded the revival of Authentic Jazz within the UK, working and training with some of the freshest dancers and teachers around. Carlos Machava
A professional dancer from Mozambique, Carlos has danced with the National Ballet of Mozambique, the Companhia Nacional de Dança e Canto, and with the Hodi Maputo Afro-Swing company. Currently, he dances and teaches traditional dances from Mozambique and swing and afro-swing ,panda street dance,solo jazz dances in Geneva, Europe and at international festivals.
When Carlos discovered swing dances, he immediately loved these Afro-American dances which mix African and European origins to express all the richness of jazz music. He likes to bring roots jazz back to its roots, mixing it with traditional dances from Mozambique.
For Carlos, dance is the expression of music and its moving rhythms and it is all this energy that he transmits on stage and in his classes.
Bic & Simone
Simone met Bic on a crowded dance floor in 2008, they found a common passion for Lindy Hop and have never stopped dancing since. Their love for the dance has taken them to many places such as New York, China, Sweden, Barcelona and Bali to experience the various local scenes and the top teachers around the world. 2012 saw a succession of first place positions in competitions all over the UK and 1st and 2nd place at major french camps.
Bic and Simone run several camps and events in the South of England such as Maytime Mess Around, Lindy Academy, Shine and SugarPush. They have built up a local scene running weekly classes and are invited to teach at various camps, workshops and festivals around the UK. They love sharing their passion for the dance and hope to encourage the Lindy Hop scene in the UK.
